Responding to the City of Trotwood’s desire to transform the under-utilized Salem Mall property into a viable development, MSP provided a comprehensive master plan for the site, which would come to be known as the TechConnection. The mission of the
TechConnection is to become a tech-driven, mixed-used development that will strengthen the community and provide economic opportunity. To achieve this, the master plan revolves around the following core principles:

• Create an environment for unique technology-based businesses
• Incorporate technologies within the infrastructure.
• Provide support facilities within the surrounding area
• Utilize sustainable design principles

The Master Plan also developed site-specific themes and design guidelines, which will allow the project to become integrated into the existing fabric of the community.
