Lakeside Mausoleum Plaza

Historically symbolizing dignity, prestige and honor, mausoleum entombment has been a continually offered feature at Spring Grove Cemetery. With the planned addition of a new mausoleum adjacent to the existing one, a garden plaza was designed to spatially link the two buildings.

Overlooking Willow Lake, the buildings utilize the “village concept” layout. This concept accommodates both indoor and outdoor crypts, making the garden plaza an even more valuable and essential asset. By presenting gentle curves, lush landscaping and humanly scaled elements, the garden design focused on fulfilling the client’s desire “to create an environment of beauty and tranquility”.
